Deviation?

So it seems this blog has gotten away from me a little bit. Originally it was intended to track the progress of my comic book penciling, but now has become a forum for me to post any work that I complete.....that erks me a lil. So starting tomorrow I will be returning this blog to its right path. Though I wander, from time to time,I never truly stray far from my first love, comic book illustration.

CUTIES OF THE DAY!!!!

So i started this thing earlier this week, on Facebook, entitled "Cuties of the Day," where i take photo reference from my facebook friendlist and do a sketch of one woman a day. It's intended to aid me in drawing the female form and also try different styles of rendering. I've actually posted some of those sketches already, though i didn't explain their purpose, and now im posting a few more.

Heres some new art featuring my cutie for today plus some spidey's and more....enjoy...or dont...it's whatever really........

i just finished this sketch about a minute ago, hope ya likes. i'll be trying to focus more on the female form for a while.

Quick Gesture.....relatively speaking that is.

this was just a quick gesture that i wanted to put up at the last moment.

the caricature of me is titled "swagger Jacked"....mostly because i took an unfinished distortion attempt that a friend of mine, (Ty Jones) had begun and tried to draw it in my own style. I Should note that he only started from my nose to my mouth in the original sketch.... i redrew that idea and added my own twists....it's really my attempt to see like some one else does.

Here's some new work, it's not quite what i intended to put up on this blog originally....but atleast im still drawing and posting. SO... hey thats atleast something right?

Tonights labors,......still trying to find my own voice, as it were...but i think i like where i am heading.......although as far as the anatomy goes for female characters, i still have some work ahead of me. I seem to have trouble softening the female form, so as not to seem so butch. Its probably as simple a fix as, just drawing more women, so thats what ill be doing for awhile.

heres a few caricatures to keep you company while i work out the kinks for my painting series...for these particular sketches i wanted to play around more with color theory...they are at least a month old but i finally had some time to add them. Hopes YAs LIkes!!
